COVID- 19 has affected personal businesses for many people all around the world, leaving some states more heavily impacted than others:
A survey conducted by WalletHub states that “87 percent of small business owners say their business is hurting from the coronavirus, and 35 percent say that their business cannot last more than three months in current conditions.” With the recent downward trend in the economy, Hawaii’s small businesses rank at the top of the list of businesses most devastated by the current pandemic. Being so high on the list means we have to work harder as a community to support our local run businesses so they can thrive long after the damaging effects of COVID-19 no longer linger.
